Patrick Fierro joined protestors on the University of Texas campus Wednesday to protest the Civil Rights Summit and Obama over deportations. Fierro has not seen his father in 16 years. He was detained for 10 years and has now been deported for 6 years. Fierro and three other protestor chained themselves to the MLK statue. In the midst of Barack Obama visiting the University of Texas at Austin to speak at the Civil Rights Summit this, University Leadership Initiative, an affiliate of United We Dream, is challenging the President on his merit of speaking on Civil Rights while his administration oversees 1,100 deportations every day and more than 2 million deportations since he became president.
